AOS Membership Committee, Orchid Propagator
Graham Ramsey discovered his passion for orchids nearly 20 years ago, starting—as many growers do—with a single white Phalaenopsis. His interest quickly deepened after his mother-in-law sent him home with two boxes of orchids that were decidedly not white Phalaenopsis. That collection sparked an enthusiasm that soon became a full-fledged obsession.
Graham joined the Western North Carolina Orchid Society, where he went on to serve in multiple leadership roles, including Board Member, Vice President, President, and Annual Show Chair—a position he held for 11 years. He currently serves on both the AOS Membership and Marketing Committee and the Affiliated Societies Committee.
An avid at-home propagator, Graham has registered 12 of his own hybrid crosses and has earned more than 40 AOS awards, including seven awards on his recently developed hybrids. His dedication to orchid growing and hybridizing continues to fuel his commitment to the broader orchid community.
