Friends of the National Arboretum (FONA) Garden Days

Friends of the National Arboretum (FONA) is a non-profit organization that supports the U.S. National Arboretum (USNA) and raises funds for special projects at the USNA. Each Spring, NCOS participates in FONA Garden Days, a fun and rewarding fundraising event that takes place on the grounds of the USNA. At this two-day event, trees, shrubs, perennial plant stocks, and gardening supplies are offered for sale by select vendors. Plant offerings include the latest cultivars fresh from field trial competitions, a large selection of rare and unusual plants, annual bedding plants, vegetables, and ornamentals. The NCOS operates a sales booth at Garden Days featuring orchid plants and orchid supplies. Friday sales are restricted to FONA members only and Saturday sales are open to the public from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Since the NCOS conducts most of its events and meetings on the grounds of the USNA, the Society and is happy to support this worthwhile event.
